Set in the tranquil 254ha grounds of the Kinloch Club course, on the shores of Lake Taupo, the scenic hub of New Zealand’s North Island, this modern uber-luxury Lodge has been designed by multi-award winning Andrew Patterson of Patterson Architects. Perhaps New Zealand’s best internationally known and published architect. The Lodge interiors have been masterfully designed by Virginia Fisher who is renowned for her work involving luxury lodges and hotels both in New Zealand and around the world.
Their brief was to emulate a version of the Kinloch region namesake Scottish castle, but with a truly modern 21st century design concept. The main lodge, with local schist stone exteriors features dramatic framed vistas of the sensational views of the golf course and the ever changing Lake Taupo. A commanding gangway entrance to the lodge leads to the lush central courtyard on guest arrival, with outdoor fireplace and reflecting pool. Arriving in the Great Room, a baronial feel of lush textures – velvet, fox fur, brass and copper then lead to The Dining Room, a bold but modern calm of whitewash, light and airy with seating of banquettes and lush sofas. Located in Taupo, The Kinloch Club features luxury villas, surrounding a main lodge. You can enjoy panoramic views of the on-site Jack Nicklaus golf course and Lake Taupo. Free WiFi is available.

You can indulge in world-class dining from the on-site restaurant, or a luxurious treatment from the day spa, both of which are exclusively available to in-house guests. The property also offers packed lunches.

All rooms offer stylish decor with a fireplace and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. Some rooms include a terrace or balcony with mountains or lake views. There is also a kitchenette in some of the rooms.

Bike hire and car hire are available at the property and the area is popular for golfing and hiking. Kinloch Village is just a 2-minute drive away. Activities in the region include lake cruises, fishing trips, hiking and mountain biking. Taupo is a 20-minute drive away, and offers numerous adventure activities, shops and restaurants.
